Re3 – Reading Borough Council Competition

We’ve just opened a very interesting competition to our residents and we’d like to make sure that all members of our community, including children get involved.

On that occasion, we’re calling all teachers and children from re3 residents to help us name our two brand new recycling vehicles which will be hitting the roads in June. These two trucks will be working hard collecting bottles and jars from bottle banks across Bracknell Forest, Reading and Wokingham Boroughs and we would love to hear from all members of our community with ideas for names. We want to invite especially all school pupils to join and submit remarkable names individually or jointly whichever suits your/their preferences. We hope this creative task will not only be fun, but also highlight their attention onto glass recycling and what’s more it can make them extremely proud if their name will be chosen and will see it driving across all three boroughs.

The winning names will appear on the two re3 glass recycling vehicles that will be used to collect glass bottles and jars from re3 bring banks located across Bracknell Forest, Reading and Wokingham Boroughs and the winners will be invited along to inaugurate the vehicles maiden voyage when they set off for the first time.

Our preference is to submit suggestions on Twitter or Facebook but if this is not possible we accept entries by email to re3info@reading.gov.ukwith a support of hashtag #namere3truck .The best ones will be put forward to the public vote. The closing date for entries is 5pm, 29th  March 2018.  Terms and Conditions attached.

We are looking forward to hearing from you.
