Parents, grandparents and carers of children on the autism spectrum are welcome to a free piano recital being held at the Winchfield festival at 11am on Friday 22nd June 2018, at St Mary’s, Winchfield RG27 8DB .
As part of the festival’s outreach programme, the acclaimed pianist, Noriko Ogawa, will be giving a piano recital specifically for parents and carers of children and young people on the autism spectrum. The recital is timed to take place in the morning, when children are at school. Noriko has a special interest in autism. When she first moved to London she lived with the family of a child with severe autism – Jamie. Noriko felt that by helping parents of autistic children to relax in a musical setting with other families in similar circumstances, she would be indirectly helping their children. And so the successful ‘Jamie’s Concerts’ were born. For more details see http://uk.jamiesconcerts.com/
After the concert, Noriko will serve tea and biscuits and the audience will have time to chat in an informal setting. To reserve your free ticket, contact Kirsty Cary at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 07891 193805.
