Following the formation of the Bonitas Trust, please be aware that they are the Admissions Authority. However, the Admissions Policy remains unchanged.

Open Days/Evenings

Open Days/Evenings for prospective Year 7 – Thursday 21st September and Monday 25th September 2017.

Students are invited to visit the school with their parents during the afternoon session (2.00pm – 3.15pm) when the school will be open for tours.

The evening session for parents (6.30pm – 8.00pm) will start with a presentation about the school, including our Admissions policy and Procedures [which are distinct from other schools in the area].

 

Sixth Form Information Evening – Tuesday 14 November 2017

This year’s sixth-form information evening will take place on Tuesday 14th November.

There will be an information session in the school hall at 6.30pm for any students currently studying elsewhere who are interested in joining the sixth form.  After the information session, there will be the opportunity for students and parents to talk to members of staff and current students in different departmental areas, to find out more about particular courses on offer.

Current Year 11 students and their parents are invited to visit departmental areas between 6.30 and 7.30 before a presentation in the main hall at 7.30pm.

7.30pm                 Information session for current Year 11 students and their parents

7-8pm                   Departments will be open for new students and parents to visit​

 

Admissions arrangements from September 2017

Applicants to the school are required to complete both the Common Application Form supplied by their home Local Authority and also the Ranelagh School Supplementary Information Form if they wish their application to be considered against the following oversubscription criteria

  • Christian faith (categories A-D)
  • ‘Looked After Children’
  • staff children
  • medical, physical, psychological condition
  • sibling connection

Admissions arrangements from September 2018

The Governing Board has agreed the arrangements for admission to the school from September 2018. If you consider that these are not in compliance with the current School Admissions Code or the law relating to admissions, you can object to the Schools Adjudicator. Objections must be referred to the Adjudicator by 15 May 2017.  Details of how to object can be found on the Office of the Schools Adjudicator website at www.education.gov.uk/schoolsadjudicator
