The Governing Board of Ranelagh School is the Admissions Authority for the school.

Open Days/Evenings

Our Open Days/Evenings for prospective Year 7 students/parents are on Thursday 21st September and Monday 25th September 2017.

Students are invited to visit the school with their parents during the afternoon session (2.00pm – 3.15pm) when the school will be open for tours.

The evening session for parents (6.30pm – 8.00pm) will start with a presentation about the school, including our Admissions policy and Procedures [which are distinct from other schools in the area].

Admissions arrangements from September 2016

Applicants to the school are required to complete both the Common Application Form supplied by their home Local Authority and also the Ranelagh School Supplementary Information Form when applying on denominational grounds.

Applicants to the school are required to complete both the Common Application Form supplied by their home Local Authority and also the Ranelagh School Supplementary Information Form if they wish their application to be considered against the following oversubscription criteria

  • Christian faith (categories A-D)
  • ‘Looked After Children’
  • staff children
  • medical, physical, psychological condition
  • sibling connection

Admissions arrangements from September 2018

The Governing Board has agreed the arrangements for admission to the school from September 2018. If you consider that these are not in compliance with the current School Admissions Code or the law relating to admissions, you can object to the Schools Adjudicator. Objections must be referred to the Adjudicator by 15 May 2017.  Details of how to object can be found on the Office of the Schools Adjudicator website at www.education.gov.uk/schoolsadjudicator
